Our Approach

We bring together GPs with other health professionals such as Nurses, Pharmacists, Paramedics and Mental Health Nurses to provide the best quality of care for our patients. Our approach ensures that patients have access to the full range of essential and additional services as and when they need them.

Digital Tools

We use digital tools within the practice to help our clinical and non-clinical staff to provide a better and more efficient service to our patients. For example, we use them to be able to send you appointment reminders, or to check your long-term condition management. In most cases you won't need to do anything to benefit from these tools - they work in the background to make your and our lives easier.

Our Policies

Equality & Diversity

We are committed to eliminating discrimination and encouraging diversity amongst our workforce, and in relation to our patients and service users. We believe in fairness, equity and above all value diversity in all dealings, both as provider of health services and employers of the people.

The Practice aims to provide accessible services, delivered in a way that respects the needs of each individual and does not exclude anyone.

By demonstrating these beliefs, the Practice ensures that it develops a healthcare workforce that is diverse, non-discriminatory and appropriate to deliver high quality healthcare. The practice and its staff will not discriminate on grounds of gender, marital status, race, ethnic origin, colour, nationality, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, religion or age.

LGBTQIA+ Pride in Practice

We understand that many LGBTQIA+ people worry about accessing health services for fear of experiencing discrimination or hostility based on their sexual orientation, gender identity or trans status. We are proud to be a member of the LGBT Foundation and pride ourselves on being inclusive to all of our patients.

You can find out more about Pride in Practice on the LGBT Foundation website, or contact them for advice and support on 0345 3 30 30 30.

If you want to change any of your personal details, such as your name, pronouns, title or gender marker, please let us know via email.

Please be aware that if you change your gender marker, you will be issued with a new NHS number and be registered as a new patient with a new medical record created for you. This will be completed within 5 working days of receiving your request to ensure continuity of care. You can ask any member of our team for more information.

Zero Tolerance

It is our policy to be helpful and polite to all our patients regardless of age, ethnic origin, disability, gender or sexual orientation. We expect the same courtesy from our patients.

Discriminatory, unsocial, threatening, violent or abusive behaviour towards staff, other patients or the premises will not be tolerated. The Practice will take action in these circumstances. This may involve the Police and may result in the removal of the patient from our practice list.

Safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, young people and vulnerable adults in our care.

In some cases this may involve working with other agencies such as Social Services and Police. We will always seek permission before sharing information with any services outside of the practice. However, on occasion we are required to share information without consent, if there is serious and immediate risk of harm.

If you are worried about the welfare or safety a child, young person or vulnerable adult, or you believe yourself to be a victim of abuse, please speak to any member of staff within the practice.

You can also raise a concern for a child or young person directly here, and for an adult directly here.
